BOJOVNICA PESTRÁ S bojovnicami sa poznám už rok a jedinou chybou tejto rybky je to, že nemôžete chovať viacerých samcov v nednom akváriu a nie je dobré ani to, ak sa v akváriu nachádza príliš mnoho samičiek. Samček má často problém obšťastniť veľa samičiek, preto je najlepšie chovať iba jeden párik v jednom akváriu.Ale inak sú to hotoví anjelikovia. S ostatnými rybkami sa vôbec nebijú. Ani menším rybkám neublížia. Aspoň nijak vážne. Mám skúsenosť, že gupkám môže troška obkusnúť chvost. Ale asi každého by naštvalo, keby sa mu celý deň nejaká plutva vlnila pred očami :-) Bohužiaľ platí to aj opačne. Väčšie rybky občas kusnú do chvosta bojovnice. 
Bojovnica sa rozmnožuje tak, že postaví hniezdo a keď sa mu samička poddá, tak z nej vytlačí v nežnom objatí vajíčka a starostlivo ich poukladá do hniezda, o ktoré sa pozorne stará a odháňa všetkých nevítaných návštevníkov. Aj samičku, ktorá by kľudne pojedla svoje deti. Vtedy sa bojovník správa agresívne aj ku samičke. Po narodení malých bojovničiek sa zo samca stáva snáď najstarostlivejší otec. Každé jedno svoje dieťatko stráži a dáva pozor, aby nevypadlo z hniezda. A keď náhodou vypadne, tak ho hneď nežne chytí do papuľky a zanesie späť do hniezda. Ale ako maličké rastú, samec sa od nich odpútava až sa k svojim deťom správa ako k cudzím a môže sa znova množiť.
Nevšimla som si, že by bojovnice mali nejaké extra vyberavé jazýčky. Ale keď sa kupili patentky, pochutili si úplne všetky rybky. Aj bojonice papali patentky ako špagety skoro až do prasknutia.
Podľa mňa bojovnica nesmie chýbať v žiadnom akváriu. Perfektná ku húfovitým rybkám. Nádherne vynikne v akváriu a nemusíte sa báť, že by vám začali miznúť menšie rybky.
